Agnes Bruckner

Agnes Bruckner, born August 16th, 1986 in the U.S., is a former actor. Bruckner was born in Hollywood, California, to her Hungarian father and the Russian mother, who later separated; her paternal grandfather was German. The couple met in Hungary before emigrating in the U.S. in 1984 through an asylum camp in Italy. There are two sisters as well as a younger brother. She began her career in the age of 11. Her commercial roles were featured in several television pilots, and on the soap opera for daytime viewers The Bold and the Beautiful in 1999. The first time she played a lead character was on Blue Car (2002). Her character was a high school student high school who had been involved in an affair David Strathairn, her teacher. Roger Ebert, a film reviewer, stated in his review that Bruckner was "completely determined to negotiate this difficult screenplay." The role of Bruckner was rewarded with an Independent Spirit Award nod for "Best female character."
